1. About Baton

Baton is a student-run platform that helps students pass on used school textbooks. Baton only connects users. It is not a party to any exchange between users.

2. Who can use Baton

Users under 18 must use Baton under the supervision of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for their child's activity and any meeting arranged through the platform.

3. Safety

Meet only at school or in a public place, with a parent or guardian present. Never share OTPs, passwords or payment details, and never pay in advance. Keep conversations inside Baton.

4. Your responsibilities

Post accurate information and photos of books you own. Do not post illegal, harmful or offensive content. Do not share personal contact details, harass others, or use another person's account.

5. No guarantees

Baton does not verify users, listings or the condition of books, and does not guarantee any exchange will happen.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Baton and its operators are not responsible for loss, damage, injury, disputes or other problems arising from exchanges or meetings between users. Users and their parents or guardians accept this risk by using Baton.

7. Reports and removal

We may remove listings or suspend accounts that break these terms or that are reported as unsafe.

8. Changes

We may update these terms, and continued use means you accept the changes.

10. Intellectual property

All trademarks, service marks, trade names, product designs, and logos are proprietary to Baton. Any unauthorized copy, imitation, or use of these materials constitutes a violation of our intellectual property rights and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
